“MRIGNAINI”…combines two Sanskrit words, “Mrigna” meaning “deer” and “Ayani” meaning “path” or “road.” Therefore, Mrignayani can be interpreted as “one who walks the path of a deer” or “one who has qualities resembling a deer.”
Presetting our first sari from the MRIGNAINI collection.
A soft white Katan silk saree handwoven in an exquisite, full Kadhua, Meenakari floral jangla. A detailed and playful rendition of a unique pattern and a beautiful palette.
Color - A timeless shade of White
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and fine Meenakari technique. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan Silk
Speciality - A stunning allover Kadwa jaal makes this a lasting piece of handloom art and an heirloom classic.
Note - The saree comes with its own blouse piece. The model is wearing a separate blouse for styling purposes.
Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don’t you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
